1 Two New Six-Port Re ectometers Covering Very Large Bandwidths Jan Hesselbarth, Frank Wiedmann, and Bernard Huyart, Member, IEEE Abstract|This paper presents two new structures for sixport re ectometers with very large operating bandwidths of more than three decades, using a combination of lumped re ectors and transmission lines. Circuits working over a range of 2 MHz to 1 300 MHz and 2 MHz to 2 200 MHz have been built using inexpensive passive surface mount elements and Schottky detector diodes. Comparing results obtained from the new proposed structures with those obtained from a commercial network analyzer showed a worst case absolute value of 0.020 for the complex di erence between the measured re ection coe cients. A convenient calibration procedure, for the entire band, is proposed using three standards and four approximately known loads. Keywords| six-port re ectometer, re ection coe cient measurement, network analysis, large bandwidth, calibration procedure, diode detector linearization, temperature correction

A set-covering formulation for a drayage problem with single and double container loads

This paper addresses a drayage problem, which is motivated by the case study of a real carrier. Its trucks carry one or two containers from a port to importers and from exporters to the port. Since up to four customers can be served in each route, we propose a set-covering formulation for this problem where all possible routes are enumerated. This model can be efficiently solved to optimality b...

WIEDMANN et al.: NEW STRUCTURE FOR A SIX-PORT REFLECTOMETER IN MMIC TECHNOLOGY 1 New Structure for a Six-Port Re ectometer in MMIC Technology

| This paper presents a new structure for a six-port reeectometer which due to its simplicity can be implemented very easily in MMIC technology. It uses non-matched diode detectors with a high input impedance which are placed around a phase shifter in conjunction with a power divider for the reference detector. The circuit has been fabricated using the F20 GaAs process of the GEC-Marconi foundr...

Two new heuristic algorithms for Covering Tour Problem

Covering Tour Problem (CTP) is the generalized form of Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP), which has found different applications in the designing of distribution networks, disaster relief, and transportation routing. The purpose of this problem is to determine the Hamiltoniancyclewiththe lowest costusinga subset of all the nodes, such that the other nodes would be in a distance shorter than the ...
